Health Project Coordinator
Addition for Disasters assistance and Development

 Closing Date: 25 June 2025

 
 Background:

The main objective of the Project Coordinator is to oversee and support the overall implementation of the hospital's management project at the hospital level and close follow-up with the hospital team to ensure timely and efficient implementation of the project. This role requires close collaboration with the SHARE and ECHO Project team, MoH, hospital management, and other stakeholders to achieve project goals.



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

Project management

 

 (1): Project implementation management is assured:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for the target hospital team, the state ministry of health on all issues related to project implementation details and maintain up the day-to-day of the SHARE project implementation at the hospital level.
  • Conduct regular checks and track progress on implementation status via -weekly follow up meetings with hspital team to enhance timely and effective implementation of planned interventions for each hospital.
  • Timely identifying gaps, delays and challenges in project implementation and propose solutions of identified problems.
  • Review, justify, and inform any changes and adjustments of the approved plans and interventions to ensure compliance with the agreement requirements. 

 

(2): Quality and efficiency of project implementation is enhanced 

  • Conduct regular field visits to verify quality of implemented activities and provide on-the-ground support and guidance to enhance efficiency and quality of implemented interventions.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation of the interventions and stakeholders’ feedback .

 (3): Capacity building and support:

  • Identify training needs for each hospital and ensure organizing capacity building activities for relevant staff in the hospital in coordination with WCO technical units (e.g. IPC, RMNCAH, GBV, PREAH etc.).
  • Facilitate and provide hands-on training related cleaning, waste management, stock management, and any other organized training in the project to enhance the awareness and knowledge of the hospital staff in coordination with relevant WCO technical units.

 (4): Reporting:

  • Ensure data collection and reporting by the hospital team on service availability, scope of service, and beneficiaries, quality of service, as well as reports related to staff performance.
  • Prepare regular field reports on project progress, challenges, and achievements.
  • Document best practices, lessons learned, and success stories from the field to inform corrective action and future programming.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of all required reports and documents

 (5) External Coordination and Communication

  • Represent ADD in coordination meetings, Health sector meetings and external relationships.
  • Maintain organizational consistency through the maintenance of strong and positive relations with field teams and CO.
  • Participate in the Coordination meeting and provide feedback on the status of overall program implementation in different areas.

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in medicine, public health, social sciences, or any related field. Master’s degree in Public Health, management, public administration, or any related field from an accredited/recognized institute is an asset
  • Specialized training in project management and/or hospital management is an asset.
  • 2 years of experience in the same position, NGO experience is preferable
  • Strong background in humanitarian or development project implementation.
  • Proven experience in coordinating with UN agencies, donors, and humanitarian actors.
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to be in control of delegated responsibilities. 
  • Strong reporting skills and experience in developing donor reports.
