Background: Job Purpose:- The Operations Department is committed to implementing and maintaining the highest standards of efficiency and integrity in service delivery to both internal and external stakeholders. The Operations Department facilitates and manages organizations Human Resources, Administration, Logistics and IT functions in line with formulated internal frameworks and being compliant with set donor regulations and guidelines. The Senior Human Resources Officer will be responsible for effective delivery of effective human resources Management practices, providing support to managers in accordance with Concern Worldwide policies in Sudan. The Senior Human Resources Officer will support the HR Manager and Area Coordinators, Area Managers and HR teams in fields offices in all issues related to recruitment. |

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required: Minimum Qualifications, skills and experience required: · Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related discipline. · At least 5 years' experience in human resources function with at least 3 years’ experience in an international NGO in a similar role. · Good working knowledge of Microsoft office package (Ms Word, Excel, Power point, email) and proficient user of office equipment (photocopier, scanner etc.) · Must be able to work with limited supervision and exercise independent judgment in problem-solving. Desirable · Willingness to undertake regular field visits and interact with different stakeholders, especially primary stakeholders · Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, facilitation skills and writing skills. . Concern Code of Conduct and its Associated Policies Concern has an organisational Code of Conduct (CCoC) with three Associated Policies; the Programme Participant Protection Policy (P4), the Child Safeguarding Policy and the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Policy. These have been developed to ensure the maximum protection of programme participants from exploitation, and to clarify the responsibilities of Concern staff, consultants, visitors to the programme and partner organisation, and the standards of behaviour expected of them. In this context, staff have a responsibility to the organisation to strive for, and maintain, the highest standards in the day-to-day conduct in their workplace in accordance with Concern’s core values and mission. Any candidate offered a job with Concern Worldwide will be expected to sign the Concern Staff Code of Conduct and Associated Policies as an appendix to their contract of employment. By signing the Concern Code of Conduct, candidates acknowledge that they have understood the content of both the Concern Code of Conduct and the Associated Policies and agree to conduct themselves in accordance with the provisions of these policies.
Emergency Response: Concern is committed to responding to emergencies efficiently and effectively in order to help affected people meet their basic needs, alleviate suffering and maintain their dignity. To this end, when emergencies strike and Sudan Programme is to respond, all staff are required to actively participate in the response, regardless of location and contribute to the efforts aimed at achieving the humanitarian objective of the organization.
Other duties The above duties will be prioritised by the manager in consultation with the post-holder. The post-holder may be asked to re-organise their work to help Concern respond to changes in type or extent of need. This would be done in a way consistent with the purposes of the post and in consultation with the post-holder.
