Here at Human Appeal we have an exciting opportunity for Reporting Officer, to be based at our Omdurman office Sudan.

Condition:

  • It is a local Contract, for this role you must have the right to work in Sudan.


 
 Duties and responsibilities:

Main Purpose:

The Reporting and Documentation Officer for the HA will play a crucial role in supporting the Country Director in Sudan and the Senior Programs Officer at HQ by ensuring the accurate reporting and documentation of all projects in Sudan. The officer will assist in gathering field-level information, feedback, and data essential for project monitoring and reporting. Their responsibilities will also include helping to collect and organize data for reports, providing administrative support to the Country Director, and ensuring that all project-related documentation is complete and up to date. This role will be vital in maintaining efficient communication and tracking of project progress across the country.

Accountabilities:
  1. Prepare & share daily, weekly, and monthly progress report of Sudan FO.

  1. Create a database for all the project in Sudan.

  1. Prepare and submit comprehensive Completion Reports detailing project outcomes, achievements, challenges, and recommendations.

  1. Ensure compliance to systems and processes for planning and reporting to donor.

  1. Compile weekly/monthly/Quarterly and Annual reports received from the field and summarize them for submission to donors and Human Appeal programmes team.

  1. Ensure the effective monitoring, evaluation and documentation of the programme.

  1. Draft clear, accurate, and timely narrative reports, including progress updates on ongoing field activities.

  1. Assist in the preparation of materials for meetings, such as minutes, presentations, summaries, and report.

  1. Attend and actively participate in all relevant meetings, providing reporting and documentation support as needed. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, ensuring that documentation is shared in a timely manner.

  1. Ensure compliance to systems and processes for planning and reporting to the donor.

  1. Provide regular updates and information on field activities and reports during weekly desk calls with the global programmes team and also ensure all global reporting requirements and deadlines are met promptly and effectively.

  1. Work closely with the Country Director to ensure all reporting and documentation tasks align with the organization’s objectives and strategic goals. Perform two major task:

     
  • Collaborate with field teams and program staff to gather accurate and up-to-date data for reporting purposes.

  • Regularly track and report on the progress of various humanitarian projects and initiatives.

NB - Employee duties are not limited only to the above-mentioned accountabilities; he/she may perform other duties as assigned.
