Background:
The Driver will assist the project team. He will have overall responsibility of managing the project vehicle in safety.
He will work under the direct supervision of the SRCS delegates and partners carrying out any required transports relevant to the project implementation. In addition, he maintains relationship with HQ’s fleet division with regards to the vehicle maintenance and adoption of necessary guidelines.

Main tasks
Driving
Drive vehicle for official travel/transport and business, or as requested by the Delegate.
Maintain high standard of service to both internal and external guests.
Car security and maintenance
Ensure that vehicle is kept clean, tidy and in a good working condition at all times.
Ensure that vehicle is kept secure at all times.
Ensure that vehicle is given regular/day-to-day maintenance checks: check oil, water, battery, brakes, tyre, etc.
Ensure that vehicle repairs are carried out by official manufacturers’ specifications.
Perform minor repairs and arrange for other repairs.
Assist the Logistics and Supply Chain Officer to ensure vehicle insurance and license are updated.
Car logbook maintenance
Log official trips, daily mileage, fuel consumption, oil changes, etc.
Accountancy
Store and keep track of mission expenditures in a fully transparent way.
General
Perform other work-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the direct line manager.
Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
Personal qualifications
Education
High school certificate.
Valid driving license.
Holder of qualification in vehicle maintenance and repairs
Experience and Knowledge
Minimum 3 years’ experience as driver with good driving record.
Understanding of traffic law.
Car mechanics.
Location of NGOs, CBOs, ministries, hotels and restaurants.
Languages
Fluency in Arabic - spoken and written.
Good in English – spoken and written
