SOS Children’s Villages Sudan is seeking a dynamic and motivated Donor Services and Communication Coordinator to lead our donor relations and sponsorship communication efforts across the country. This pivotal role ensures donor satisfaction and engagement by delivering high-quality, timely, and impactful communication aligned with international standards.



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of the national communication strategy aligned with the National Strategic Plan and international communication standards.
  • Manage and grow the organization’s social media presence, ensuring engaging, brand-aligned content and using analytics to optimize performance.
  • Coordinate the creation and dissemination of newsletters, brochures, impact stories, annual reports, and other external-facing materials.
  • Oversee website content updates and internal communication platforms, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and consistency.
  • Collaborate with media partners; draft and distribute press releases, organize media events, and support spokespersons with briefing materials.
  • Ensure full compliance with the SOS Children’s Villages branding guidelines across all materials and platforms.
  • Support the planning, promotion, and coverage of events and advocacy campaigns.
  • Develop and implement crisis communication protocols and serve as a communications focal point in crisis scenarios.
  • Build internal communications capacity by training teams on storytelling, branding, and use of communication tools.
  • Supervise the quality and consistency of sponsorship-related content, including child updates, family stories, and progress reports.
  • Oversee donor communication systems and ensure timely submission of materials in line with donor expectations and safeguarding standards.
  • Monitor donor satisfaction and feedback, ensuring improvements are integrated into communication strategies.
  • Coordinate donor engagement activities such as visits, virtual interactions, and personalized outreach.
  • Support capacity-building initiatives for sponsorship and donor services teams on storytelling, safeguarding, and platform usage 

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience, including at least three (3) years with NGOs.
  •  Proven skills in digital communications, media engagement, and content creation.
  •  Proficiency in graphic design tools. 
  •  Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.
  • Experience in event planning and donor engagement.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing and analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Insights).
  • Video editing or multimedia content creation skills.
