SOS Children’s Villages Sudan is recruiting a dedicated Program Officer to support the implementation and coordination of emergency response projects across Kassala State. This role focuses on field activity support, documentation, logistics, and reporting under the supervision of the Emergency Response Program Coordinator.



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist in organizing and monitoring field distributions (e.g., NFIs, cash, shelter kits).
  • Liaise with partners and local teams to ensure effective implementation.
  • Support protection awareness sessions in the community (child protection, GBV).
  • Handle basic administrative and logistical tasks.
  • Contribute to reporting and maintain trackers for beneficiaries and materials.
  • Prepare and follow up on purchase requests and procurement processes with the admin and finance departments.
  • Ensure proper filing and documentation of all project-related materials, both in soft and hard copies.
  • Assist in organizing travel and accommodation arrangements for field missions.
  • Support the planning and logistics of distributions and training workshops.
  • Track and replenish stock levels of emergency supplies and office materials.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of field visits, and activity reports.

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related field.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience in humanitarian or development work.
  • Knowledge of emergency response and humanitarian principles.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to field sites.
