Background: Established in 1949, SOS Villages International (CVI) is a dynamic international social development and humanitarian organization operating globally to meet the needs and protect the rights and interests of children without parental care and those at risk of losing it. The Eastern and Southern Africa (ESAF) region of SOS CVI is headquartered in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and has a branch office in Nairobi. It includes member associations (MAs) in Nigeria, Ghana, Ethiopia, Sudan, South Sudan, Somalia/Somaliland, Djibouti, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, South Africa, Lesotho, Eswatini, Botswana, Namibia, Mauritius, Angola, and Madagascar. SOS Children’s Villages Sudan is seeking a Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL) Officer to support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of FSL activities for internally displaced persons and host communities. This role plays a vital part in promoting resilience, food security, and self-reliance among vulnerable populations. |
