Background: I. Job Summary: The Health and Nutrition Coordinator will provide strategic direction and technical leadership of CARE’s Health and Nutrition programming in Sudan, ensuring that gender is at the heart of everything that CARE does. S/he will ensure technical excellence and quality control during design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of health and nutrition interventions to CARE in Sudan. S/he will be responsible for the development and roll-out of CARE’s programmatic strategy on health and nutrition in Sudan. S/he will take a leading role in project design and fundraising for CARE’s Health and Nutrition work in Sudan. S/he will provide technical guidance and support to the health and nutrition projects and staff across Sudan and ensure quality interventions based on international and national standards. S/he will make sure that CARE’s Health and Nutrition programs are continuously adjusted and improved on the basis of assessments, studies and lessons learnt from ongoing programming. When needed, s/he will lead the start-up of new interventions, particularly during emergencies. S/he will be responsible for coordination and work  closely with partners in the health and nutrition sectors, including International and National NGOs, Clusters, UN Agencies, donors and the  Ministry of Health  to ensure that CARE’s program is well coordinated and responsive to the latest development in the context. |

Duties and responsibilities: 1- Strategic Direction and technical guidance • Leading the development of CARE’s Health and Nutrition Program Strategy in close collaboration with field teams, the Program Quality and Development (PQD) team, local partners and experts in CARE International. |
