Background: WHH with funding from WFP will implement integrated nutrition project by delivering life-saving assistance and enhance the physical well-being of the target population in Red Sea State (Port Sudan, Swakin, and Dordeb) Focusing on CMAM program, IYCF and community approach activities Under the direct supervision of the Head of Project and Nutrition coordinator the Nutrition database officer will support the implementation of the project in Red Sea state. He/she is responsible for effective and efficient implementation of nutrition activities and updating the nutrition database as per the requirement of the project. S/He is responsible for collecting data, analysis data and preparing reports.

Duties and responsibilities:
Duties with own area of responsibility - Participate in assessment and Studies conducted during project implementation.
- Collect nutrition data and information from project areas and submit weekly/ monthly and quarterly reports.
- Collect and record all nutrition data into the nutrition database.
- Manage the nutrition database and report to WFP as needed.
- Monitor the utilization rates of supplies, track inventory levels, and provide forecasts based on programs consumption to maintain a continuous supply flow.
- Conduct regular and joint monitoring visits to the health facilities.
- Actively engage with other projects staff, especially with those working in the same localities.
- Monitor nutrition activities and adapt interventions, as necessary, in line with MoH guidelines.
- Prepare and submit various reports (field visit reports, Statistical report, trends).
- Support all procurement processes required for the project.
- Perform any other tasks as may be required by the direct supervisor.
Specific responsibilities - Team members are expected to support and assist each other, as well as replacing each other during leave periods.
- Representing the organization and project in meetings if it becomes necessary.
- Assist in the planning, coordination and implementation of other project activities throughout the project duration.
- Provide feedback on constraints encountered during project(s) implementation and make recommendations and/or suggestions.
- Keep Welthungerhilfe internal information confidential.
- Any other additional responsibility, in coordination and agreement with head of office, if it becomes necessary during the duration of the project.

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, Public Health, or a related field with relevant work experience.
- 3 years’ experience in nutrition field, 1 year of which should have been at officer level is a MUST
- Experience with an INGO or NGO focusing on implementing nutrition is strongly preferred.
- Experience in implementation of CMAM program, social and behavior change programming (various approaches), IYCF and IYCF-E, nutrition-sensitive programming and health program.
- Good understanding of GOS protocols, guidelines, strategies, policies related to health and nutrition.
- Experience in needs assessments, surveillance, surveys, and information management.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic.
- Strong organizational and report-writing skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of applying the Do No Harm frameworks concepts and approaches in high-risk security areas are an advantage.
