 Background:

Job Summary: 

The Finance Manager will oversee the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective risk management, and strategic financial planning. This role requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

1. Strategic Management:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the organization’s goals.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Participate in long-term financial planning and forecasting.

 

2. Financial Management:

  • Oversee daily financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Manage the preparation and monitoring of budgets.

 

3. Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.

 

4. Risk Management:

  • Identify and assess financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the organization’s assets.
  • Ensure compliance with risk management policies and procedures.

 

5. Liaison:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for financial matters with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial support and guidance.
  • Liaise with auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities as needed.

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or CFA certification preferred.
  • Proven experience in financial management, preferably in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

 

 

Skills:

  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

 


 

Working Conditions:

The Finance Manager role primarily operates in an office environment with standard working hours. However, occasional travel may be required to attend meetings, conferences, or visit other organization locations. The position offers flexibility with remote work options, allowing for a hybrid work model that combines both in-office and remote work to support work-life balance and productivity.
