 Background:

The Gender Technical Specialist will provide expert guidance on gender equality and social inclusion across programs and initiatives. The role involves developing gender-responsive strategies, conducting gender analyses, and ensuring the integration of gender considerations in policies and projects.



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement gender-focused strategies to enhance program impact.
  • Conduct gender analysis and assessments to inform project design and implementation.
  • Provide technical support to teams to ensure gender mainstreaming across all activities.
  • Design and deliver training sessions on gender equality and inclusion.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to promote gender-sensitive policies and initiatives.
  • Monitor and evaluate gender-related outcomes and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Contribute to research, reports, and advocacy efforts on gender issues.

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Gender Studies, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in gender-focused roles within international development, humanitarian, or policy-driven organizations.
  • Strong understanding of gender analysis frameworks and methodologies.
  • Experience in training facilitation and capacity-building on gender-related topics.
  • Excellent analytical and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and advocacy skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of relevant policies and frameworks on gender equality.
