Background:
Coordinate and oversee all project activities within the locality or state, ensuring efficient and effective implementation, compliance with organizational and donor requirements, and capacity building of staff and partners.
Duties and responsibilities:
Project Implementation:
Provide oversight to ensure projects are executed according to plans.
Supervise project coordinators for the effective and efficient implementation of activities, ensuring compliance with agreements.
Support Project Coordinators (PCs) in the development of annual and quarterly work plans.
Contribute to developing new training curricula and policies for project activities.
Reporting:
Ensure timely submission of quarterly project progress reports by Project Coordinators, aligned with donor and organizational requirements.
Provide requested information for back donor reports to the Program Coordinator.
Strategic Planning:
Provide information for the formulation of the country strategy when requested by the Program Coordinator.
Identify and recommend funding opportunities to the Program Coordinator.
Contribute to project proposal writing and provide input towards the development of proposals.
Provide Bill of Quantities (BoQs) for project activities in collaboration with PSM.
Project Development and Proposal Writing:
Participate in the development of project proposals and explore internal and external funding options.
Collaborate with Project Coordinators to provide technical BoQs for project design.
Contribute to ensuring projects are innovative, relevant, and impactful.
Offer input to the analysis and revision of project proposals.
Contribute to the analysis of project proposals and recommend modifications to enhance their effectiveness and alignment with objectives.
Project/Program Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning:
Follow up on action points/recommendations from reports and field visits and ensure their implementation.
Monitor the implementation of projects to ensure timeliness, quality, and alignment with the planned objectives.
Capacity Building of Local Partners:
Identify capacity gaps within staff and organize capacity-building initiatives to address these gaps.
Support local partner organizations in building technical capacity.
Networking:
Attend collaboration and sector coordination meetings when requested by the Program Coordinator.
Identify and recommend networks, consortia, or organizations for potential collaborations.
Represent LM International at state-level sector coordination meetings and related engagements.
Identification of Local Partners:
Identify potential local partners and recommend promising candidates to the Program Coordinator.
Conduct assessments of potential local partner organizations upon request.
Contribute to decisions regarding the initiation of new partnerships.
HR & Leadership to the State Field Team:
Provide leadership and guidance to field officers.
Participate in the recruitment of field staff.
Manage staff leave days effectively to ensure project implementation and deadlines are not impacted.
Provide coaching, mentoring, and support to field staff.
Financial Management and Logistics:
Ensure timely development and submission of procurement plans and requests.
Oversee timely submission of financial requests and ensure funds are used appropriately.
Ensure the timely submission of accountabilities by field staff.
Minimum Qualifications:

Education: University degree in Geology, Development, Economics, Social Sciences, or related subjects.
Experience: at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
Additional certifications: Post-graduate training is required.
