 Background:

Are you passionate about driving impactful change and securing funding for transformative programs? Save the Children is looking for a Program Development Manager to join our PDQ - BD team and play a key role in shaping the future of our programs in Sudan.

About the Role

As a Program Development Manager, you will support the Head of Program Development and the PDQ Director in expanding funding opportunities, cultivating partnerships, and leading proposal development for humanitarian, development, and nexus programs. You will coordinate across multiple teams, ensuring high-quality, competitive proposals that align with donor requirements and Save the Children’s strategic objectives.



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and research new funding opportunities, building strong relationships with donors and partners.
  • Lead and manage proposal development, ensuring timely and high-quality submissions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (PDQ, MEAL, Finance, Supply Chain, HR) to create strong project designs and budgets.
  • Support donor engagement and long-term capture planning for major funding opportunities.
  • Maintain knowledge management systems and ensure continuous learning for improved proposal processes.
  • Contribute to humanitarian response efforts by securing funding for emergency programs.

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (program development, project management, international development).
  • Proven experience in proposal development and donor relationship management.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage complex funding processes under pressure.
  • Excellent networking and communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English (Arabic is a plus).
  • Experience working with INGOs, NGOs, or development organizations is highly desirable.
