Background: Adda for Disaster Assistance and Development (ADD) is a national humanitarian organization dedicated to providing life-saving support to vulnerable populations in Sudan. Our programs focus on addressing critical protection needs, promoting community resilience, and improving the well-being of displaced persons, host communities, and marginalized groups The GBV Officer will be responsible for implementing Gender-Based Violence (GBV) program activities through preparation of necessary documentation, overseeing field activities, conducting follow-ups, and ensuring compliance with international, national, and organizational standards. The officer will collaborate with the GBV Coordinator and other sector staff to ensure the timely delivery of quality GBV services, promoting survivor-centered approaches, and ensuring adherence to work plans and procurement plans. The GBV Officer will also engage with other GBV actors, participate in relevant forums, and build relationships with stakeholders to facilitate integrated service delivery in the field. Duties and responsibilities:
Program Management and Implementation: - - Manage assigned field-level activities, including the preparation of program documents, overseeing activity implementation, supervising and mentoring staff, and providing weekly updates.
- Ensure the timely and quality implementation and delivery of GBV services in alignment with program goals and objectives.
- Ensure adherence to NCA’s GBV prevention, response, and risk mitigation standards, including a survivor-centered approach.
- Collaborate with the GBV Coordinator to track budgets, activity plans, and procurement schedules.
- Develop and implement detailed weekly, monthly, and annual work plans for specific GBV projects.
- Participate in GBV assessments and safety audits to identify needs, gaps in service delivery, and areas for improvement.
- Promote survivor dignity and rights in all program activities, adhering to international best practices in GBV programming
Team Leadership, Staff Supervision, and Capacity Building:- - Manage outreach staff and volunteers in assigned areas, ensuring the effective execution of GBV-related activities.
- Supervise volunteers and staff, ensuring that activities are implemented according to best practices and standards.
- Provide basic training for volunteers, community leaders, and groups on GBV prevention and response.
- Conduct weekly meetings to review progress, identify challenges, and plan activities.
- Provide leadership and guidance on field-level GBV activities, including community engagement, psychosocial support, and outreach activities.
- Coordinate and oversee GBV outreach activities, including event planning and developing outreach calendars.
- Ensure effective dissemination of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials based on guidelines and needs.
- Participate in the planning of outreach activities through technical working groups (TWGs) and clusters at the camp and field levels.
Coordination and Collaboration: - Coordinate closely with other GBV/Protection actors and partners at the field level to ensure integrated and comprehensive service delivery.
- Represent the organization at site/field-level coordination meetings, providing updates and contributing to strategy development.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with community leaders, local authorities, and stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness and community involvement
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting - Assist in the development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) activities.
- Collect and submit weekly data on activities, ensuring timely analysis and reporting.
- Prepare and submit detailed activity reports, highlighting program achievements, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
Coordination and Capacity Building - Establish and strengthen referral systems for protection activity in coordination with relevant service providers.
- Conduct trainings and mentorship for staff and community-based volunteers on general ,child protection .
- Lead case conferences and participate in coordination meetings with partners and government authorities.
- Ensure that all program activities meet international protection standards.
- Work closely with other humanitarian actors, including UN agencies, NGOs, and local authorities, to ensure that protection needs are addressed.

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or psychology or related field.
- 2 years’ experience in protection, GBV , more or less similar position.
- Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
- Experienced problem-solver and decision-maker.
- Strong staff development, and mentoring skills.
- Ability to interact clearly and effectively with donors and other organizations.
- Excellent organizational skills and experience.
