Duties and responsibilities:
Program Management and Oversight - Protection Activities Management: Plan, implement, monitor, evaluate, and report on protection activities, ensuring alignment with ADD’s objectives, donors standards, and humanitarian principles.
- Capacity Building: Build the capacity of local stakeholders, including Community-Based Protection Networks (CBPN),
- Community Engagement: Mobilize and support communities in challenging harmful practices.
- IEC Production and Distribution: Lead the design, production, and distribution of culturally appropriate IEC materials.
- Protection Principles and Compliance: Ensure all protection activities adhere to Protection Principles, Humanitarian Standards, and the Code of Conduct.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports (weekly, monthly, mid-year, and annual) on protection activities, challenges, and successes, ensuring high-quality technical content.
Case Mangement : - Develop and implement appropriate protection programming for PSNs.
- Ensure the provision of individual and group psychosocial support activities.
- Maintain a confidential and effective case management system, including assessments, home visits, documentation, and follow-ups.
- Identify and support PSNs with urgent material assistance based on assessed needs.
- Ensure all case management activities adhere to protection and humanitarian principles.
- Supervise Protection Assistants, ensuring high-quality case management services.
- Conduct regular staff evaluations, debriefing sessions, and professional development activities
Community Engagement and Outreach - Strengthen networks with community leaders, women’s groups, service providers, and other stakeholders to promote community-based protection.
- Facilitate community awareness sessions on PSN-related issues, rights, and available services.
- Ensure the active participation of PSNs and their caregivers in project activities.
Protection Monitoring: - Conduct regular protection assessments and monitoring in target areas.
- Identify and report protection risks and needs within communities.
- Collect data on protection concerns to support program activities and reports
Protection Session - Plan, organize, and facilitate protection awareness sessions for community members, focusing on general protection, child protection, and GBV prevention.
- Develop materials and tools for awareness-raising activities
Field Support Activities - Support the distribution of Non-Food Items (NFIs), cash, and in-kind support to affected populations.
- Ensure that the distribution process is safe, inclusive, and meets the needs of vulnerable groups.
- Coordinate with other sectors to ensure an integrated approach to service delivery
Community Networks: - Establish and manage community-based protection networks.
- Provide technical support and training to community-based protection volunteers and partners.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination between community groups and humanitarian actors.
- Mentorship: Conduct monthly meetings with CBPNs, providing ongoing mentorship and capacity-building to ensure sustainability and resilience of community protection networks.
Community Feedback Mechanisms (CFM): - Establish, implement, and monitor Community Feedback Mechanisms (CFM) to ensure that affected populations, particularly women and girls, have a platform to voice their concerns, provide feedback on program activities, and inform decisions that affect their lives.
- Ensure effective handling of complaints and feedback from communities, particularly in relation to protection services.
- Ensure that feedback and concerns are addressed timely and appropriately, and provide recommendations for program improvement based on CFM insights
Monitoring & Evaluation - Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with stakeholders to ensure activities are shared and that joint activities make the best use of available resources.
- M&E Participation: Participate in donor and stakeholder monitoring visits, ensuring ADD’s protection activities are well-represented.
Coordination and Capacity Building - Establish and strengthen referral systems for protection activity in coordination with relevant service providers.
- Conduct trainings and mentorship for staff and community-based volunteers on general ,child protection .
- Lead case conferences and participate in coordination meetings with partners and government authorities.
- Ensure that all program activities meet international protection standards.
- Work closely with other humanitarian actors, including UN agencies, NGOs, and local authorities, to ensure that protection needs are addressed.

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or psychology or any relative program.
- At least 2 years of experience in case management with persons with disabilities, mental health concerns, or the elderly, GBV , Protection.
- Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
- Experienced problem-solver and decision-maker.
- Strong staff development, and mentoring skills.
