Nada Elazhar for Disaster Prevention and Sustainable Development (NADA) is a national Non-Governmental Organization (NGO). GENERAL OBLIGATIONS Whose mission is to protect oriented organized with child, women and persons with special needs (PSNs) focused; it’s responsible for making remarkable difference to impact and strengthen the life of every child, women and PSNs to live better life through providing committed protection, high quality education, safe water, health, nutrition, ending GBV, psychosocial and counseling services, reintegration, capacity building and livelihood opportunities to make sure that every child has a chance to grow in a safe environment to become effective community member in the future.

NADA maintained a considerable attention to Internally Displaced People (IDPs) and refugees, the majority of which are children and women. NADA is premier organization for inspiring and preparing young people to become successful, contributing members of the society.

 

JOB SUMMARY:
Finance Officer provide finance support to the NADA. Responsible for to oversee all financial
duties by managing financial procedures including, reconciliations, accounts payable & receivable,
assisting in the production of financial reports, cash count and monitoring transactions, and preparing
invoices.



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

  • Recording financial transactions in line with NADA& donor requirements.
  • Managing and reconciling of bank/cash accounts, preparation of monthly financial accounts for submission to executive Director and ensuring financial and resource accountability and effective management of records as required for auditing.
  • Coordinate any interim and annual audit.
  • Proper accounting of project recoveries and income recognition.
  • Checking and monitoring the field office sub-account transactions and incorporating in reports.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records and provide information when required and maintain records and receipts for all daily transactions.
  • Checking advance payment transactions and report accordingly.
  • Establish and prepare accurate and timely information for financial monitoring and progress of programme funds and grants.
  • Collection and storage of regular financial reports and budget records.
  • Ensuring adherence to the NADA finance and administration guidelines at all times.
  • Providing other duties assigned by your line manager.
  • Assist in the preparation of projects budgeting, donor reporting, interim and final.
  • Liaising with Field Offices as needed.
  • Performing soft and hard copies of monthly financial reports and meet deadlines. 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or relevant field.
  • A minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Current registration/license with relevant professional body as an Accountant /Finance.
  • Proven experience in financial accounting of not less than two years 
  • Formal training in bookkeeping, Accountancy, budgeting and reporting. 
  • An understanding and interest in humanitarian affairs.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent computer literacy in Excel and Word.
  • Good English written and spoken skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and also independently.
  • Ability to adapt to different contexts and sensitivity to cultural differences.
  • Proven time management skills.
  • Good interpersonal and facilitation skills: Ability to conduct and facilitate training.
  • Knowledge and skills in resource management and ensuring accountability.
