Position Summary: Under the direct supervision of the AM/Office Coordinator / SCO Coordinator and technical supervision of the Medical Logistics Coordinator, the Medical Logistics Officer is responsible for the day to day management of the pharmacy warehouse as per warehouse management recommended guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOP) at Wad Al-Managil, Al-Jazira level. The Medlog Officer has to ensure that the pharmacy stock card system, request and consumption follow up tracking and file management in the medical commodities warehouse is well organized and up to date, will maintain the inventory control system and ensure accurate documentation for the receipt and dispatch of all stocks, and will also ensure the security of all stocks in his/ her custody. Any loss of commodities in the warehouse should be immediately reported to the AM and SCO Coordinator.
In addition, The Medlog Officer will provide support to facility staff working in the store rooms and will build their capacity in the area of pharmaceutical commodities and store room management. He/ she will supervise and support health clinic staff in the management of drug storage and dispensing at the clinics as well as proper drugs dispensing, registration and reporting (daily, weekly and monthly consumption reports). The Medlog Officer will be responsible for the supervision and management within the health facility pharmacy and dispensary and shall ensure that facility staff are providing quality services, centered on beneficiaries’ satisfaction |
