About the Role

As a Finance Officer – Accounts Payable, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining financial compliance, safeguarding assets, and supporting effective program delivery. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual who thrives in dynamic environments.

• Safeguard cash and valuable documents.
• Manage payments, receipts, and online invoicing systems (ProSave).
• Ensure complete and compliant documentation for all financial transactions.
• Maintain daily transaction records and prepare monthly cash reconciliations.
• Support periodic financial reporting and assist in bank reconciliation processes.
• Ensure compliance with Save the Children and donor financial policies.
• Collaborate with the Finance Coordinator to enhance financial tools and reporting systems.
• Provide capacity-building support to ensure adherence to financial processes and tools.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• At least 2 years of progressive experience in financial management, auditing, or compliance in not-for-profit organizations.
• Strong strategic financial management and problem-solving skills.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and financial systems.
• Excellent communication skills, initiative, and ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
• Willingness to travel to field programs as required.
