The Strategic Initiative for Women in the Horn of Africa (SIHA) is a coalition of civil society organizations from Sudan, South Sudan, Uganda, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Somalia and Somaliland. SIHA was founded in 1995 by a collection of women\'s groups with the view of strengthening the capacities of women organizations in the Horn of Africa countries. SIHA advocates for social change and gender equality for men and women in the Horn region and works specifically on: gender equality, women rights activism, women economic empowerment, eliminating violence against women and girls, promoting human rights, peace building and conflict transformation, enhancing women’s leadership and political participation and the production and dissemination of knowledge. Background:
Under the direct supervision of the Sudan Senior Finance Officer with line management ofthe Regional Head of Finance and Administration, the accountant will be responsible for the accountability of funds for Sudan projects. This role will involve performing various accounting and finance tasks according to SIHA work standard operating procedures including asset management, recording of in-coming and out-going items, vehicle management and vehicle usage reports, maintaining basic financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, payments and review all financial documents presented by program staff. Ultimately, the accountant's responsibilities are to accurately record all day to-day financial transactions of SIHA Network in Sudan. |

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required: Education requirements:
2. The candidate must be computer literate, including knowledge of word processing (Word), mail merge, scheduling (Outlook), spreadsheets (Excel) and other data base applications . 3. Familiarity with the QuickBooks accounting system.

2. Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage priorities, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. 3. Strong sense of initiative and creativity is desirable. |
