 Background:

At Save the Children, we are looking for a Humanitarian Analyst to bring expertise, innovation, and a deep commitment to improving lives. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our efforts, analyzing trends, anticipating risks, and shaping humanitarian strategies that prioritize children and vulnerable communities.



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

What You’ll Do

Data Management That Drives Change

  • Gather and organize critical humanitarian data from diverse sources.
  • Identify data gaps to refine decision-making processes.
  • Maintain accessible, up-to-date repositories for impactful interventions.

Turn Information into Action

  • Monitor evolving social, political, and economic trends to inform strategy.
  • Deliver evidence-based insights for risk monitoring and scenario planning.
  • Integrate lessons learned into future responses, driving continuous improvement.

Promote Conflict-Sensitive Solutions

  • Conduct in-depth risk and actor analyses to ensure equitable responses.
  • Build capacity within teams on conflict sensitivity principles.

Collaborate Across Sectors

  • Engage with interagency networks to share and shape key insights.
  • Contribute analyses for humanitarian frameworks, including the HNO and HRP.

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

What You’ll Bring

Essential:

  • At least 1 year of experience in analytical roles within aid organizations.
  • Proven experience in emergency response within humanitarian settings.
  • Expertise in qualitative analysis and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Exceptional communication and writing abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in political science, social sciences, economics, or a related field.
  • Resilience to work under pressure in challenging environments.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or GIS.
  • Established connections within the humanitarian analysis community.
