Background: SOS Children’s Villages (SOS CV) in Sudan is in search of a seasoned and highly capable Emergency Response Program Coordinator to lead and manage our program portfolio within Sudan. The role encompasses oversight of emergency-focused initiatives in sectors such as Economic Recovery, Protection, emergency shelter, distribution of non-food items, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) activities, Food Security and Livelihoods, and Multipurpose Cash Assistance. The Emergency Response Program Coordinator will be accountable to the coordinator and will contribute to the development of sector strategies and represent SOS CV in key coordination platforms. The incumbent will ensure that SOS CV’s programming adheres to the organization’s quality benchmarks and complies with donor requirements, implementing a program-based approach across projects while maintaining a focus on protection. Moreover, the Emergency Response Program Coordinator will be pivotal in identifying and securing funding opportunities for emergency projects through both internal and external donors, initiating the proposal development process. Based at the National Office, currently located in Kassala, this role necessitates extensive travel to other SOS CV operational sites. The position holder will consistently engage with the Head of Function and Technical Coordinators. SOS CV Sudan remains dedicated to the ongoing capacity building of its workforce. Those in leadership positions are expected to continuously evaluate the training and development needs of their teams and, in collaboration with HR, design and implement capacity-building initiatives through structured training, personalised mentoring, and coaching. |
