The Deputy Medical Coordinator will work under supervision of the Medical Coordinator to ensure the quality of comprehensive health/Nutrition/ WASH services are improved in all IMC clinics in Blue Nile

Duties and responsibilities:
- Work closely with the medical coordinator to achieve program objectives and targets effectively and efficiently.
- Work closely with Site Manager, Area Coordinator, and M&E coordinator for smooth implementation of the program.
- Actively participate in program design, implementation and evaluation.
- Improving the quality of the PHC, and RH and nutrition programs through priority setting, time bound work plan, continuous monitoring using supervisory check list.
- Ensure program targets are met using indicator tracking table.
- Responsible of the quality of data through proper entry, cleaning and regular checking and use the data for action on the site.
- Responsible of ensuring diagnosis and treatment of patients is based on standard procedures (national and international guidelines).
- Responsible for the management and referral of patients based on the national protocol.
- Responsible for the community-based activities such as EPI, nutrition screening, health education and defaulter tracing are done properly.
- Actively participate in the identification and management of any disaster or epidemics.
- Responsible for the preparation and submission of the weekly, monthly and annual data and reports to his line manager and other relevant agencies.
- Actively participate in human resource management such as induction, motivation and coaching.
- Responsible for weekly and monthly clinic supervision
- Responsible for monitoring of consumption of medical and clinical supplies
- Responsible for compiling weekly program progress updates
- Responsible for implementation and training/ orientation of safe guarding for clinic personnel
- Respect IMC safety and security regulations especially confidentiality in dealing with cash.
Administration and Human resources: - Responsible for follow up that each MOH seconded staff is performing his or her duties
- Responsible for follow-up on MOH seconded staff working in the area, check on staff attendance
- Responsible for all health facilities keep daily staff attendance records and records keeping are checked.
- Responsible of reporting any staff absences to the site manage and medical/nutrition coordinator as soon as possible
- Responsible of sending monthly staff attendance reports to the site manage before the 25th of each month for preparation of the payroll.
Representation: - Represents IMC with the local authorities, community leaders and beneficiaries
- Meets community leader’s/ health committee on a regular basis but no less than once per month to share information on the status of program implementation get their feedback on the program.
- Any other duties related to this function as may be assigned from time to time by his/her supervisor.
Capacity Building: - Responsible to determine and address training needs for subordinate Health staff
- Responsible to train senior MOH seconded staff to increase their responsibilities in order to build capacity and ensure consistency and sustainability of intervention
Working Relationships: - Maintain frequent communication with Program Coordinator, Area Coordinator Medical and Nutrition Coordinator to ensure program activities and objectives are communicated
- Work with Logistics and Finance staff to ensure the timely coordination of programs supplies are within budgeted targets
- Interface with national government and relevant agencies as necessary .
Security: - Collaborate with security officer/Team Leader in order to maintain safety and security of staff in the field
- Ensures application and compliance of security protocols and policies.
- actively promotes PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within International Medical Corps and amongst beneficiaries served by International Medical Corps.

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Medicine. +3 years of relevant work experience (minimum of 2 years in humanitarian situations; camp settings a plus). Experience in emergency response, including rapid assessments and needs analysis
- Demonstrated analytical, project conceptual and planning skills projects, clear and realistic activity
- Able to prepare plans and reports, planning, negotiation and leadership skills. Willingness to travel in highly insecurity areas.
- Profound cross-cultural awareness and sound knowledge of public health issues Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions independently. Extremely flexible, and have the ability to cope with stressful situations and frustration REQUESTED Salary and Benefits: -
