Duties and responsibilities: The Project Manager Will provide:Strong leadership for the project team, coordinating project activities including scheduling, resource management, risk management, change control, and collaboration with local authorities and stakeholders. This role is critical in ensuring successful project implementation aligned with donor and Plan International guidelines. The Project Manager will oversee the project, ensuring compliance and meaningful engagement with partners, local authorities, and communities, enhancing the project’s outreach, sustainability, and impact.
The position involves overseeing:All operational aspects of the Consortium project, coordinating with finance, M&E, and security staff, and managing national and international partners. The Project Manager will ensure the efficient implementation of project activities, including cash and child protection in emergencies, and will contribute to capacity building for the project team and local partners. Additionally, this role includes maintaining compliance with donor policies, developing work plans, producing reports, monitoring project risks, and integrating child protection and gender measures. They will also manage budgeting, procurement, and human resources tasks related to the project.
Essential criteria for this role include:A bachelor’s degree in social studies, human rights, or economics, with a minimum of five years of project management experience, particularly in multi-sectoral projects that address protection, cash programming, and community-based approaches. Experience working in humanitarian and emergency settings, with knowledge of donor requirements, such as SHF, UNICEF, and UNHCR, is essential. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills and be proficient in English and Arabic.

Physical Environment:The Project Manager - Consortium will work in a dynamic and demanding physical environment, often outside the office in a hot and humid climate. The role requires engagement with multiple stakeholders, including government authorities, community leaders, and local partners, sometimes in challenging settings. Flexibility is essential, as work may extend beyond regular hours to meet project requirements, handle emergencies, and ensure continuous project momentum under sometimes stressful conditions. The position includes medium direct interaction with children, requiring adherence to Plan International’s child protection and safeguarding standards in all project-related activities.
