About Project Insight

Project Insight is CRS' initiative to improve Finance, Human Resources and Supply Chain functions, including through a global rollout of Oracle technology. Improved processes will make CRS more efficient; using timely, accurate data for decisions will make CRS more effective. By equipping our staff with tools for better stewardship, Insight will help us to better meet the needs of those we serve. 

 

Job Summary

CRS is implementing an Oracle Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning system, called "Insight" within the agency. The web-based, real-time system will help to give more visibility and control of daily operations. As the country program (CP) started implementing Insight in February 2023, continuous support for its implementation at the country level is crucial and demands full-time support.

As a member of the Country Program Operations Team, the Insight Advisor supports the country program to use Insight for all day-to-day activities in SCM and operation. The Advisor functions as Supply Chain Insight Lead for Sudan and coordinates and liaises with CRS Sudan Insight Lead (Deputy Country Representative - Operations) and country main office and field offices. The Advisor will coordinate with the Insight Lead (Deputy Country Representative - Operations) and country Supply Chain Manager to ensure full, effective and efficient utilization of Insight as the definitive reliable source of the country’s operations and data.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Be the primary point of contact between the CRS Sudan and GSCM and the regional SC team for all SCM aspects of the Insight implementation and related activities.
  • Responsible for regular updates on project status, challenges, and solutions to regional, and GSCM teams.
  • Ensure quality hypercare support is consistently applied.
  • Support field staff in maintaining and using Insight for supply chain management activities through online and onsite support modalities.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with finance to ensure Insight is used for its intended purpose by complying with CRS policies and procedures.
  • Analyze and act on aged POs in the procurement module in coordination with the finance, program, and procurement team.
  • Closely work with program managers and finance in analyzing commitments per project and reconciling with Financial Reports.
  • Propose for Insight SCM process and procedures improvement to regional and GSCM teams in the context of CRS Sudan needs.
  • Support and assist supply chain, operations, and programming staff in data quality aspects of Insight.
  • Closely work with different Inventory Organizations in completing monthly Stock Cycle counts and yearly Physical Inventory Counts following the CRS policy and procedures.
  • Analyze different reports generated from Insight and give feedback to supply chain staff on identified gaps.
  • Facilitate and help supply chain, operations, and programming staff in solving problems related to Insight.
  • Create and maintain proper conditions for learning and better usage of Insight and its outputs for different decision-making.
  • Serve as Acting Insight Lead, as requested.
  • Understanding of proposed system designs, associated training requirements, and potential for errors or need for intensive support throughout Insight use.
  • Organize onsite and remote training for the field staff in coordination with the Insight Lead based on need
  • Disseminate and orient staff on new developments and releases from GSCM and regional teams.
  • Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with application end-users and management to continuously improve their user experience.
  • Provide ongoing support for the technical aspects of Insight.
  • Support, and as requested, provide Project Insight training with other Insight Area Leads

Internal: Deputy Country Representative - Operations(Insight Lead); Project Insight Areas Lead (Finance, HR, Supply Chain), ICT staff, Programming Staff, EARO Insight Team; HQ Insight Team.

 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or other relevant discipline required. Master's degree is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience, in Commodity or General Stock Management, Logistics, procurement, or equivalent
  • Experience working with INGO or UN preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of business processes and Supply Chain policies .
  • Experience in capturing knowledge and learning and communicating this to various audiences using different means/tools.

  • Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to influence and get buy-in from people, not under direct supervision.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, organizational, and systems thinking skills with capacity to see the big picture and ability to make sound judgment.

Travel Required: 25% travel supporting sub and field office

 

Language Requirements: Proficient writing and speaking in English and Arabic are required.
