 Background:

The Fundraising and Partnerships Manager is a senior position responsible for managing Sadagaat Charity Organization’s (SCO) funding and development activities. The role involves identifying and developing funding opportunities, responding to proposals, and building sustainable partnerships that align with SCO’s strategy and values.

The Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring financial sustainability and driving future growth by seeking out and establishing new partnerships that support SCO’s long-term objectives. The role is crucial in maintaining and expanding relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders, ensuring that funding efforts align with Sadagaat's mission to support vulnerable communities in Sudan.



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

  1. Working closely with SCO GM and board of directors to identify opportunities, develop proposals and build relationships with prospective funders and corporate partners.
  2. Develop, lead, and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy that supports Sadagaat’s mission and strategic objectives. 
  3. Developing and maintaining a pipeline of funder prospects and prospective organization partners
  4. Lead the preparation and submission of funding proposals, ensuring alignment with donor requirements and Sadagaat’s priorities and objectives. Build and manage executive and management-level relationships at international organizations and corporates (across multiplefunctions, e.g., HR, volunteering, CSR, Access to Health, Education,…etc.).
  5. Managing the business development database to provide it when needed. (simple CRM report).
  6. Tracking SCO commitments and reporting requirements, managing deadlines, and preparing reports
  7. Work with the Communication and Advocacy team and the Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Officer to compile donor/partner impact metrics and milestone reports, effectively showcasing the outcomes and impact of funded programs
  8. Developing a communications program that will lead to deeper and broadened engagement with current and potential corporate partners and donors.
  9. Representing SCO at appropriate forums including conferences and events.
  10. Performing other duties when needed.

Qualification & Experience Required:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Relations, Development Studies, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 3+ Proven experience in fundraising, partnership development, and securing grants, with a track record of meeting or exceeding funding targets.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive proposals and presentations.
  • Strong Knowledge of the non-profit sector, particularly in humanitarian or development contexts.
  • Strong strategic thinking and project management skills.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially PowerPoint) .
