Background:
Cooperazione Internazionale (COOPI) is an international Italian NGO established in 1965. Since its establishment, COOPI has been undertaking activities to help and empower the poor and needy in different countries. COOPI Sudan started its operation in 2004 and has been primarily implementing emergency, relief and early recovery programs in water hygiene and sanitation, food security and livelihood, nutrition and protection sectors. COOPI is currently implementing several projects in North Darfur, Gadaref and Khartoum in the sectors of WASH, Food Security and Livelihood, Climate Change adaptation, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Refugee Response.The Cash and Voucher assistance coordinator will work under the direct supervision of the COOPI’s project Manager and Area Coordinator. The cash and Voucher assistance coordinator will be responsible for the implementation of cash, Voucher, vouchers and e-vouchers distribution to selected vulnerable households in the above localities.
Duties and responsibilities:
Prepare monthly cash and Voucher distribution plans in collaboration with COOPI Project manager.
Apply technical knowledge and skills to implement and/or assist in community delivery of cash and Voucher assistance component of the project.
Ensure appropriate community messages on cash and Voucher assistance are transferred to beneficiaries, government partners, vendors, and other key actors
With support from MEAL Coordinator, project manager and psychologist, support the sensitization and identification of project beneficiaries in line with agreed selection criteria.
Supervise and provide technical support during cash and Voucher distribution.
Conduct regular and ongoing technical monitoring of and reporting on Voucher and cash related activities, ensuring adherence to the Core Humanitarian Standard, SPHERE standards for humanitarian action and Safeguarding policy
Participate in relevant coordination meetings at state and locality levels
Ensure that all targeted cash recipients receive their entitlements on time and with rightful calculations as prescribed by COOPI and Donor procedures.
Visit target communities on regular basis to get their perceptions and experience on the cash and Voucher components of the project
Prepare work-plans and progress reports (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and quarterly) as defined by the project guidelines.
Facilitate the identification designing and implementing of appropriate training needs for beneficiaries and community leaders.
Follow up with beneficiary households ensuring that potential disputes or safeguarding and protection related challenges faced by beneficiaries are reported to the project manager and gender and protection officer as needed.
Provide technical inputs for the project proposal requirements and indicative costs
Participate in any other job-related activities assigned by project manager.

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
Degree in finance, business administration, community development or related field
At Least 2 years experience in cash transfer programming
Experience from working in a humanitarian/recovery context
Good understanding of protection principles, referral systems, humanitarian services and stakeholders
Experience in targeted location
Experience with vulnerable groups, particularly women and children, is an advantage
Good networking and connection building skills.
Fluency in English (written and spoken. (compulsory).
Fluency Written and oral Arabic (compulsory).
Excellent writing and translating skills from English to Arabic and vice versa.
