 Background:

WASH Coordinator is one of the most important  jobs for Wash sector and is the one responsible for coordinating the projects schedule, resources, equipment’s and necessary information as well as contacting agents to specify the requirements of the project and its range and objectives in addition to fulfilling the demand of our partners while the project progresses, the job requires excellent skills in time management and communication as well as collaboration with the team and agents beside implement and flow up all tasks of Sadagaat water station activities in different states. Manage and lead a team of technicians and community coordinators to ensure the efficient and effective implementation of Al-Soqia related activities, working to planned deadlines and budgets, required to travel frequently between Khartoum state and field areas.



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

1. Design, implement, follow up, monitor and support WASH sector projects & activities Whitin the targeted communities & Work on integration of community participation and accountability in all aspects of projects.
2. Co-operate and/or supervise partner organizations according to Sadagaat partnership agreements or MoU whenever necessary and in coordination with the line manager & Support and develop the relationship with partners and key stakeholders included government 
3. Participate to the identification of the water point to be maintained, rehabilitated or constructed and identify the contractors and materials needed in that purpose.
4. Participate and arrange for the external and internal meeting according to the projects requirements (coordination meeting with authorities, INGO or WASH sector meetings)
5. Report regularly (Weekly / monthly, yearly) the workflow and processes.
6. Monitor the progress of the projects and preparing reports of the project’s accomplishments so far include any problems that may occur

10. Participate and arrange for the external and internal meeting according to the projects requirements (coordination meeting with authorities, INGO or WASH sector meetings)
11. Take any relevant measure to improve the quality of water such as SPHERE, KAP survey and CATs whenever necessary & ensure that each water point functioning properly and according to the agreed standard.
12. Report regularly (Weekly / monthly, yearly) the workflow and processes.
13. Participate in WASH related events and all other Sadagaat’s Media/ social events if
14. requested.
15. Monitor the progress of the projects and preparing reports of the project’s accomplishments so far include any problems that may occur
16. Coordinating the project management activities, resources, equipment’s and necessary data with ensuring that all Sadagaat materials, tools and equipment's under responsibility are well utilized and saved.
17. Distributing the duties to the team and manage the time frame accordingly. & making sure to fulfill the needs of the partners while the project progresses.
18. Preparing periodic reports on risk management and open opportunities & following on the issuing of all legal documents such as contracts and agreement
 conditions… etc.
19. Assist in gathering information, and preparing the surveys and studies related to the WASH cases & participating in preparing the projects budget.
20. Any other duties that the organization activities may require

 


 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

- Certificates available to prove Competence: 
• BSC. In Engineering- Water resources
• Three years of experience in a related field.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of file management, transcription, and other administrative procedures.
• Ability to work on tight deadlines.

- Work Experience:
• 5 years /plus of experience in the same field.
- Behaviors/Attributes:
• Strong leadership and management experience and proven success in leading/contributing to program development proposal and report writing skills with proven organizational and multitasking skills.
• Strong coordination and leadership skills with proven ability to work across multiple technical areas simultaneously, supporting and mentoring multiple staff members.
• Experience in project management and managing budgets, result based programming.
• Experience in monitoring and evaluation.
• Excellent knowledge in data management.
• Experience with Excel spreadsheets.
• Excellent Arabic and English Language.
