Background: The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), an impartial, neutral, and independent organization striving to protect and assist the victims of war and internal violence, has been working in Sudan since 1978. The ICRC is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to fill the position of FAS Programme Adviser in Port-Sudan. Purpose: The Armed Forces and Security (FAS) program advisor (FAS PA) assists the FAS Delegate with managing and executing the FAS program. Responsibilities include planning, monitoring, training and evaluating activities, maintaining a network of key contacts, and updating information on the context. The programme advisor also helps facilitate dialogue between the ICRC and armed actors and supports the promotion of international humanitarian law, international human rights law, and humanitarian principles. |
