Background: The Project Manager (PM) will have overall responsibility of managing Enhancing Food Security and Resilience of Rural Communities project including planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring and reporting. The PM will work under the direct supervision of the Branch Director / Program Coordinator in close coordination and collaboration with the relevant programme team at SRCS-HQ level. In addition, s/he will be supported by technical team members of field officers who will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and supporting overall programme management with the support of the programme volunteers. Moreover; the PM is required to assist SRCS in maintaining close coordination with relevant government ministries, agencies and departments including other stakeholders at state level.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Project management and technical support.
- Manage the project implementation in support of the field team, including design, planning, monitoring and reporting.
- Contribute in supporting implementation of a multidisciplinary range of adaptation initiatives that combine climate resilient livelihoods and rehabilitation, protection and sustainable management of local communities natural resources (forest, farmland and rangeland); rehabilitation and construction of portable water system and conservation; adaptation of renewable and cost effective energy power supply system for water facility; ecosystems diversity; and awareness raising on and support to early warning early response mechanism.
- Contribute in the process for identifying relevant technical assistance in programme selection, implementation and monitoring of new innovations (technical know-how from universities, agriculture extension, weather agency
- Mentor and coach Field Officers and volunteers in order to achieve the ultimate goal of the project, as required.
- Main regular process of critical path analysis for project implementation and interventions to address any deviations at state level.
- Planning, monitoring, evaluation and reporting
- Work with project team and partners’ staffs on monitoring and evaluation of activities related to the programme outputs and outcomes as required in the programme monitoring plans.
- Collaborate/coordinate with SRCS-HQ PMER department on PME activities of the project.
- Facilitate gathering and communicating lessons learned and good practices from the project in climate change adaptation in local communities
- Contribute in the development of monitoring tools and maintain records by writing monthly, quarterly and annual reports to the Branch Director
- Carry out regular field monitoring visits to verify project activities and discuss emerging issues and problems with stakeholders in the field.
- Contribute in baseline and/or end line assessments, review, lessons learnt workshop of the project.
- Maintain implementation on track and monitoring progress of the project.
- Deliver feedback to other project stakeholders at state level.
- Participate in and contribute to SRCS branch annual planning process.
- Prepare for and participate in regular progress planning meetings with the line manager, and at other staff meetings as appropriate
- Where appropriate, attend internal/external meetings and workshops relevant to the project work as agreed with line Manger.
- Undertake any other tasks in agreement with the line manager.
- Coordination and Networking
- In close coordination and collaboration with the branch programme manager, support SRCS’ in maintaining and coordinating external relations and partnerships with Locality and State stakeholders, including relevant line ministries and agencies of government of the state and other stakeholders of the SLCRCC programme.
- In close coordination and collaboration with the Branch Director establish and coordinate relations and partnership with relevant PNs and national stakeholders of the SLCRCC programme.
- Support SRCS branch to coordinate and collaborate with state and locality institutions (e.g. High Council on Environment and Forest National Council), and other relevant networks as a sustainable platform
- Facilitate dialogue between stakeholders at state level through meetings and individual interviews.
- Capacity Development and Team Management
- Lead and support the capacity building of SRCS branch (and other stakeholders as appropriate) in climate change adaptation as well as gender and diversity.
Enhance the capacity of SRCS volunteers to deliver quality implementation of the SLCRCC programme by co-facilitation of trainings in cooperation with the project technical officers.

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in social science, Agriculture, Forestry or equivalent specialized certification.
Experience of - Previous working experience, minimum 3 years working with communities in Humanitarian organization or RC/RC movement set-up
- Adequate IT skills and to work smoothly in online TEAMS etc
Skills in - Reporting in EU formats
- Submit weekly reports, photo video documentations on field visits.
- Computer skills including word processing and advanced Excel skills and working in Microsoft TEAMS
Working Abilities - Work as part of a team in a supportive way.
- Work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
Attitudes - Willing to work long and irregular hours and on public holidays as required.
- Commitment to the fundamental principles of RC/RC movement and to the mission of Sudanese Red Crescent Society.
