Cash Project Assistant

 Background:

The Cash Assistant is primarily responsible for community mobilization and support to cash distribution activities, under the direct supervision of the Cash Project Officer and or the Senior Cash Project Officer.

This includes but it is not limited to supporting the inclusion of beneficiaries in the project, implementing complaints and feedback mechanisms in the site, ensuring smooth distributions and liaison with sites stakeholders and financial service providers and to support the AME team in conducting Post-Distribution

In Charge of:

  • Assisting the Implementation, Follow-Up, and Monitoring of cash-based projects in Sudan

Support the Senior Project Officer for selection, and registration of Beneficiaries before and during distribution

  1. Support the Senior Project Officer in Project Implementation.

Assist the Project Officer with efficient and quality delivery of cash assistance to beneficiaries



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

  1. Project Implementation
    1. Support beneficiary mobilization, identification, registration and verification activities.
    2. Managing of the CRM information desk activities in the site, including collection and review of complaints forms, referral to responsible agencies with support of Information Management Assistant, timely reporting of sensitive complaints to line manager and regular submission of all data collection forms to Information Management Assistant for data entry and analysis
    3. Ensuring that the CRM mechanism integrates different ways of collecting complaints and feedback, not only through desk but also through formal and informal meetings with the community leaders, outreach activities, etc
  2. Liaising with relevant humanitarian partners and local authorities working in the sites
  3. Timely reporting of any gaps and/or duplication in service delivery
  4. Work closely with Zone/Sector committees in mobilizing/sensitizing the targeted communities regarding the project activities and objectives.
  5. Project Management and Reporting
    1. Planning, Implementing, and Reporting
    2. Supporting the Senior Officer in Designing Weekly and Monthly work plans for the project implementation, particularly
    3. Reconcile distribution list to ensure accurate information management, implement training and sensibilization attendance sheets
    4. Timely reporting on problems and challenges on the site to the line Manager to be escalated to the Project Manager and Cash Coordinator

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Completion of university degree in Humanities, Social studies, or another relevant degree
  • Minimum 1 years of experience in international and/or local NGO; ideally involved in the direct implementation of field level humanitarian assistance to refugees or IDPs.
  • Experience in community services, distribution or registration.
  • Highly flexible, with the ability to use initiative.
  • Commitment to humanitarian principles and values.
  • Understanding of gender, protection, and human rights.
