 Duration: 10 months, and the extension is subject to the fund

 Duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist field activities monitoring based on project documents e.g., log-frame and work plan through established WHH monitoring and evaluation tools (for reference, please see latest WHH Sudan monitoring framework).
  • Give direction or participate as lead in periodic data collection, data entry & data analysis based on project requirements while ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Assist to develop operational monitoring tools based on the WHH templates available on the WHH Intranet and those adapted by WHH M&E Coordinator (monitoring plan, list of measuring success indicators, monthly reports, work plans, checklist, questionnaires, databases, interview, and survey forms, etc.).
  • Provide timely inputs for new initiatives and improvements on M&E issues to the HoP.
  • Participate in the project’s quality implementation, particularly through identifying weaknesses and strengths and report to the HoP.
  • Participate in the evaluation of the project’s results and achievements
  • Actively collaborate with field Officers and provide inputs to develop databases on project activities and assist in updating the database regularly according to the project requirements.
  • Actively participate in project implementation & coordination meetings.
  • Participate in developing concepts, guidelines, manuals, procedures in line with WHH minimum standards.
  • Provide inputs to project reports and publications for sharing with the DHoP and HoP.
  • Provide M&E verbal and written reports as required to the program team.
  • Support short-term external M&E evaluators and experts as required.
  • Prepare monthly schedule of monitoring and evaluation plan.
  • Assist projects in taking informed decisions based on WHH M&E principles as established by the MELA team (Monitoring and Evaluation and Learning Accountability).
  • Make use of the WHH M&E Outcome and Impact Orientation Guidelines (Part 1, 2, 3) available on the WHH Intranet, and ask support if needed from the M&E Coordinator with regards to M&E trainings or capacity building ideas at the project field level.
  • Actively share and participate in exchanging M&E tools with M&E Coordinator and other WHH M&E Officers based in other WHH Field Offices.
  • Implement the communication and visibility framework
  • Upon request, actively share data and progress tracking of indicators with M&E Coordinator

3.Spesific Responsibilites

1. Monitoring

  • Develop project monitoring plan (PMP) in line with project LFA and consulting with program team and partners and the M&E Coordinator in red sea.
  • Coordinate with Implementing Partners (IPs) for collecting data against agreed indicators.
  • Ensure quality of data collected by partners and by WHH Field Staff.
  • Provide feedback to partners and program teams on projects’ performance based on monitoring data findings.

 

2. Evaluation:

  • Assist in designing, coordinating, and conducting project evaluations (mid-term and end-line).
  • Assist in designing and conducting Post Implementation Monitoring Survey (PIMS).
  • Assist in conducting Program Data Review.

 

3. Other:

  • Adhere to the Welthungerhilfe principles and policies as laid down in its Code of Conduct and maintain the spirit of cooperation with Welthungerhilfe staff, other NGOs, project partners, local authorities etc.
  • Work in close collaboration with the Country Office M&E Coordinator.
  • Any other duties may be assigned as far as these are within the employees’ capacity

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Social Sciences preferred (ie.Statistics ,Economics ,Business Administration ,Nutrition, Agriculture ,Rural Development…) .
  • At least 2 years of working experience in a similar position with International NGO.
  • Excellent MS Office skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access) is mandatory.
  • Good knowledge in MS publisher.
  • Excellent English language skills (reading, writing, speaking) is mandatory!
  • Arab language skills (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Photography is an added advantage.
