Background: Job Title: HR and Administration Manager Duty Station: Port-Sudan-Red Sea State
DRC Sudan DRC has been present in Sudan since 2004, delivering life-saving programming in protection, emergency response, shelter, food security and livelihoods, disaster risk reduction, camp management, and humanitarian mine action. DRC has implemented projects in Central Darfur, South Darfur, South Kordofan, Gedaref, Kassala, and Khartoum states. Sudan hosts one of the largest displaced populations in Africa, with over 3.7 million internally displaced people and over 1.1 million refugees from South Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Central African Republic, Chad, Yemen, and Syria. Against a background of political crisis, Sudan faces economic and social turmoil, with sharp increases in food and energy costs, further exacerbated by disease outbreaks and ongoing conflict.
About the job The Human Resources and Administration Manager’s overall purpose is to lead and manage DRC’s HR and Admin team in Sudan providing overall advice, coordination, and management ensuring efficient support to the program teams following existing DRC policies and procedures. Geographic scope: This role has a country focus and ensures compliance with DRC procedures and guidelines within the country. The role contributes to the development of country strategies, which are translated into action plans and day-to-day tasks. The role provides support and/or technical guidance to country operations while overseeing country HR and Administration activities |

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required: • At least 5 years’ experience in a relevant field, of which at least 2 years in a senior Human Resources management role within an NGO • At least 3 year’s experience with people management • Proven leadership skills and competence in people management • Demonstrated understanding and working knowledge/experience of Human Resources Management principles, concepts & processes • Excellent skills in handling and advising on complex people management issues • Experience in developing Human Resources strategies and policies, and driving implementation • Proficiency in English
Education background: (include certificates, licenses, etc.) Master's degree in Human Resource Management, Business, or Social Science Degree specializing in Human Resources
