 Background:

The Warehouse Assistant will support the efficient operation of the warehouse by implementing and maintaining standard inventory management practices, ensuring proper handling of goods, recording and documenting all warehouse activities, and promoting compliance with International Medical Corps (IMC) policies and procedures. The role involves inventory control, record-keeping, and collaboration with program

staff to meet the organization's supply chain needs. This position reports to the operations Manager and will have the following roles & responsibilities:



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

Warehousing Record Keeping

  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly reports outlining all stock movements and remaining balances.
  • Collaborate with the supervisor to reconcile the Warehouse register in the Asset tracking sheet and equipment issuance forms every month.
  • Assist in proper recording, labeling, and tagging of assets.
  • Support the maintenance of the Warehouse activity book, recording all incoming and outgoing receipts and activities.
  • Participate in cycle counts as per the country's scheduled three-month plan.

 

Policy Implementation and Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to IMC policies and procedures for all warehouse operation, facility and utility needs.
  • Ensure compliance with policies to be documented through systematic and random verifications of policy implementation and Supply Chain records.
  • Provide consistent and constructive support to other departments to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Promptly inform SC Manager and department staff any areas of concern for potential or suspected violations of policies and procedures.
  • Respect IMC safety and security regulations.
  • Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within International Medical Corps and amongst beneficiaries served by International Medical Corps.

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

 

  • Diploma or equivalent in any field.
  • 1 year of work experience in supply chain operations.
  • Effective interpersonal and analytical skills with the ability to collaborate across cultures and organizational units.
  • Knowledge and experience in asset management plans, strategies, and market analysis.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in conducting market analysis and implementing distribution strategies
