Background: Child development Foundation (CDF) is a Sudanese national NGO established and registered in 1999 under the act of humanitarian aid commission (HAC). It mainly works in the field of child protection and child rights. CDF targets male and female children as a main focus groups, who are at risk and vulnerable (street children, child labor, child soldier, war and conflict child, displaced, school dropout, orphans, refugees, etc.). CDF also targets other people of concerns such as children's families, pregnant and lactating women, women and PSNs. Assistant Child Protection Under the supervision of Child Protection Officer, the Child Protection Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of the various protection activities in the field locations under her/his responsibility. Main responsibility is to plan activities, supervise, implement, and monitor the impact of activities taking place in Child Friendly Spaces, Adolescent Girl Friendly Spaces and other MHPSS activites. S/he plays a key focal point role to develop material, plan sessions, communicate messaging, build capacities of facilitators and social workers, For this, s/he needs to constantly listen, gather and use information and feedback provided by children, adolescents and other community members.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Provide weekly planning and supervision for CFSs Mobile team & work closely with SLS teams in each site to ensure that plans are followed, and activities implemented according to standard operating procedures.
- Supervise and lead on the development of the weekly plans, reports and facility activity reports.
- Monitor attendance of animators and volunteers and identify ways of supporting them and collaborate with CBCPN to have relevant mechanisms for improving the attendance.
- Ensure the organization and the implementation of all protection activities at field level in accordance with the agreed work plan and meeting Minimum Standards for Child Protection in Humanitarean Action (CPMS).
- Facilitate activities in collaboration with Mobile CFSs teams and activities’ facilitator.
- Identify strategies to ensure that activities are cultural appropriate, gender and age sensitive and that activities represent and include different population groups (ethnicities, minorities, vulnerabilities)
- Ensure activities taking place in agreed in (CFS, SLS, school oer any other places are relevant.
- Draft work plan in collaboration with CP teams and social workers , animators and children and activities’ facilitators for planned activities with children.
- Meet with the CBCPC to get information on trends, community dynamics, community acceptance to modify program accordingly.
- Support CP Officer in the development of IEC (information, education, and communication material) for use in CFSs , SLS and awareness sessions the wider community
- Ensure Refer and support for children exposed to SGV survivors and other children with need of specialized services (to the Case Management team for their actions and referrals (ensuring to not proactively seek for survivors).
- Prevent and respond to Violence Against Children including child marriage, FGM/C and child recruitment (SBC)
- Ensure respond to grave child rights violations in accordance with the Children and Armed Conflict.
- Support access to services for Children on the Move and unaccompanied and separated children
- Participate in conducting needs and programmatic assessments in targeted locations.
- Conduct structured PSS sessions including cultural, artistic, and formation of youth clubs in SLS, child friendly centers and communities in close with mobile team.
- Engage with communities directly and create awareness on child rights, child protection, and other protection-related issues.
- Identify protection trends and bring this to the attention of the line manager for action planning.
- Carry out sensitization activities at the field level in close coordination with CP Mobile teams.
- Conduct community meetings, FGDs, and other direct activities as part of protection monitoring.
- Participate in relevant field level coordination meetings.
- Carry out any delegated activities as assigned by management at the field level including supervision of field bases.
- Contribute to development og service mapping and referral pathways are updated by locations and ensure that these are disseminated and understood among staff and facilitators in all program areas.
- Coordinate and contribute to community-based child protection system, make sure that a clear ToR is understood and followed, that the CBCPCs are receiving appropriate capacity building, support and coaching.
- Ensure coordination local governments and body and local actor at locality level
Monitoring and Reporting - Lead on the development and submission of weekly activity reports, including the weekly attendance in for the various activities in CFSs.
- Provide timely and quality inputs to meet reporting requirements and timeline; necessary activity and protection reports (weekly, monthly, ad hoc).
- Ensure all CP protection activities are documented, filed and up to date.
- Under supervision of ensure good practices are captured, documented and disseminated at project level and thematic program level.

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
- BA or equivalent in social work, Social Sciences, human rights Law, Development Studies, Gender Studies or similar or related degree desired with at least 2 years of experience in implementing child protection programs, preferably social work, or case management, in humanitarian settings. Experience in start-up programming preferred.
- Experience and understanding of child rights, child protection in emergencies, SLS Programme and youth development, child and youth resilience and empowerment
- Experience working with IDPs, and vulnerable groups of people preferred
- Understanding and sensitivity to the needs of people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures
- Good computer skills such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and outlook
- Capable of applying skills and knowledge in a range of capacities, including direct implementation, coordination function, training, and the transfer of technical knowledge
- Personal qualities: Team player, flexible, network-builder, able to handle pressure well
- Fluency in English required, working knowledge of relevant local languages desirable
