 Background:

DT Global is recruiting for project positions for a 38-month USAID-funded program in Sudan focused on strengthening citizen engagement around shared, democratic values. The program aims to build the capacity of civil society organizations, support social institution building, and strengthen strategic communications and public information/outreach in order to improve citizens’ access to timely and accurate information. 



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

The Human Resources (HR) Assistant handles the daily administrative and HR duties of the program. The HR Assistant provides functional support to the HR Manager in the areas of recruitment, record maintenance and personnel administration, and payroll processing.
 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Recruitment: Support HR Manager in publishing recruitment advertisements, tracking applicants, collecting documentation, administering tests, coordinating interviews, etc., and ensuring that all received applications and documents are filed in both hard and soft copy formats.
  • Administrative support: Provide administrative support for the HR and personnel support functions of the program, including collecting and sending requests for employment and hiring documentation, ensuring proper filing of employees’ documentation, coordinating with other departments and ensure information flow with official circulars, policy announcements, and other external communications.
  • HR Document and Monitoring Support: File and help track all staff performance appraisal forms in employees’ respective files. File copies of all staff timesheets received from the employees for future tracking. Maintain and update monthly the leave records for all national staff. Organize and file paper and soft copies of all approved leave requests. Support the HR team in maintaining accurate and complete personnel files.
  • Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Completion of some post-secondary school, Clerical / HR training, certificate or diploma preferred.
  • One or more years of previous experience in human resource administrative position.
  • Knowledge of Sudanese Labor Laws.
  • Experience in liaising with other organizations and government officials.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Be proactive, have strong prioritization skills, and ability to work cross-culturally.
  • Fluency in written and oral English and Arabic is required.
  • Position open to Sudan nationals only.
