Main Purpose of Job:
The WASH or Environmental Health Officer (EH Officer) will work under the supervision of the Environmental Health Coordinator. He / she will be responsible for the supervision of water supply, sanitation and hygiene, activities at the community level, and further in health facilities, which will include waste management activities in IRC, supported facilities. This position will support all aspects of technical design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of WASH construction related aspects of the response ensuring acceptable quality. This role will largely entail working with other WASH/EH Officers and Assistants alongside other sectors in ensuring that hygiene promotion in mainstreamed in the current WASH emergency response activities. |

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required: The ideal candidate will have an Environmental health (WASH) background and experience in implementing Water, Sanitation and sanitation.
