Main Purpose of Job: 

This position will be part of the health team delivering life-saving primary healthcare services and responsible for overseeing pharmaceutical management for the IRC supported health facilities in Al Gezira state, working in coordination with the Pharmaceutical Officer.



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

Program management:

  • Ensure Good Dispensing Practices maintained, providing correct information to all patients.
  • Oversee the process of receiving drugs ordered, arranging the items on the shelves alphabetically with their stock cards.
  • Complete daily drug consumptions in the register book accurately.
  • Monitor consumption and ensure timely refill of tracer drug on weekly basis.
  • Make biweekly drug order from the main warehouse for clinic use using request form.
  • Compiles weekly and monthly reports every Thursday.
  • Monitoring the stock, develops stock levels alert to avoid drug stock out.
  • Conduct monthly inventory and physical count.
  • Arrange and organize the pharmacy neatly and keep it clean.
  • Ensuring medicines are stored appropriately and securely.
  • Following the expiry date of the drug and alarm items with expiry less than 6 month
  • Twice daily temperature recording morning and afternoon and ensure that appropriate storage conditions are in place for medicines.
  • Keep the prescriptions in ideal way.
  • Share list of priority drugs with the clinicians and support clinicians on rational drug use
  • Oversee the pharmaceutical management for the health facilities working closely with the MoH dispenser.

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • BPharm or equivalent qualification from recognized institutions
  • 1-2 years clinic experience
  • Well organized with good reporting skills
  • Excellent English language in written and verbal communications skills are required.g
