Background:
GENERAL OBJECTIVES
The Logistics Manager is overall responsible for all logistics activities in the capital and or/ field (procurement, fleet, storage, equipment’s, premises, management and / or supervision of staff) and actively contributes to the security management (analysis and operational implementation).The Logistics Manager is responsible for all related procurements strictly following donors’ and Kit log guidelines. In addition, the logistician will closely supervise/update the entire equipment list, supervise vehicle fleet and office maintenance to ensure an efficient response to all programmes. Lastly, the logistician will monitor and report any incident related to security within the Country Office.
Duties and responsibilities:
Objective 1: Supply Chain
Directly responsible for the procurement of all items for the office and projects.
Oversees all tasks related to the procurement process such as quotation requests, suppliers’ visits, arrangement of delivery/confirmation, satisfactory quality/payment, price monitoring etc.
Ensure ACF procurement procedures and donor requirements are respected.
Ensure the proper labelling and use, the optimal state, proper maintenance, storage, and repair for equipment (computers, printers, photocopy machines etc).
Ensure the Equipment list is up to date.
Manage and control the stock of office stationery supplies.
Supervise allocation and adequate use of equipment for all users by filling up the material loan form.
Manage Logistics staff (officers, assistants) at Khartoum and base offices fairly and respectfully, irrespective of pay grade and job level of staff.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Ensure proper training and refreshers training (on ACF Logs and safety and security procedures and protocols) for ACF and partner organizations’ Logs and security staff (including drivers, watchmen and guards)
Technical referent for all Logistics related matter at mission level, including, non – Logs staff
Objective 5: Security Management (added by CD in Jan 2023)
Actively contributes to the security management (analysis and operational implementation)
Monitor and report any incident related to security within the Country Office to Country Director
Update BSMTs and share with Country Director and Logistics Advisor of HQ for review
Establish network of contacts at Khartoum level and bases (through Operations Officer) for timely updates on security and safety developments impacting AAH staff and operations
Ensure team spirit and motivation within ACH team
Objective 6: Additional responsibility:
Travel in a regular basis to the different mission bases
Any other Logistic and administrative duties assigned by the CD and / or Operations Coordinator
Contribute to Country Strategy development and revision of Safety & Security package for the mission, among others, processes to be led by CD.
Fulfil any duties that are inherent to the position and requested according to mission needs and context.
Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
Qualification and technical specific knowledge
Graduate in Logistic, Engineering or any other similar field related to the job.
Desirable ACH procedures and KIT Log V3.
Previous Experience
Minimum 5 years previous experience in the field of logistic in humanitarian sector with an international INGOs or UN and stock management would be an asset and at least 1 year’s experiences in liaison work.
Good background about the preparation of budget and financial reports.
Personal requirement:
Professional and transparent, team spirits and good communication skill, organize and rigorous, ability to quickly integrated and working environment.
Proved team-work experience and of coordination of staff under its supervision.
Language Skill:
Good written and spoken on communication skill in both English and Arabic
Computer skill:
MS Office very strong command. Advanced level of Excel.
