Background:
The Security Manager serves as an immediate contact for security-related activities with the responsibilities to ensure that the security of NAS operations is achieved through sound corporate policy, timely advice, and effective performance by members of the company. To establish and maintain effective liaison with customers, airport authority and airport security agencies
Duties and responsibilities:
Plans, directs, and coordinates the activities of the Security Department and ensure implementation of Security Management System (SMS) at all level throughout the organization
Ensure the continuing effectiveness of the program by regular evaluations and inspections, by encouraging, internal security audit processes and maintain updated the security program/manual with necessary approvals by DGCA and other concerned authorities.
Responsible to comply with the applicable local and International laws, regulations, and procedures of NAS, airport authorities and clients
Maintain liaison with contracted air carriers providing services and ensuring full implementation of client procedures
Conduct investigations of all incidents of security failures and make recommendations for corrective actions
Ensure compliance with local and international standards by directing, and coordinating the activities related to revision of security measures.
Ensure adequate training and certification of all security personnel and all concerned staff having security responsibilities
Accountable and responsible to ensure effective implementation of station integrated quality, safety, security and environment management system; also responsible for internal and external audits in coordination with station QHSE departments
Performs other related duties as assigned by line manager
Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree.
Minimum 4 years of Aviation General Security experience in a management role
Effective communication, interpersonal skills and timely decision making
Leadership as well as team-building skills along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of oral & written English and local language as indicated
Excellent Computer skills and knowledge of security/ access control systems
Knowledge of Airport operations, Investigation procedure
Awareness of DGCA security regulations, Airport security instructions, Air cargo security standards and global aviation security regulations
