Expertise France is an actor of the international technical cooperation. The agency designs and implements projects that sustainably strengthen public policies in developing and emerging countries. Expertise France places its action within the framework of the foreign policy of development cooperation, influence and economic France's diplomacy. On January 2022, Expertise France merged the French Development Agency (AFD) to strengthen the Official development assistance (ODA) and renew the French policy of development and solidarity.

 

Programme background

The second phase of the Education Quality Improvement Programme (EQUIP 2) is a €20M EU-funded programme that contributes to fulfil the right to education, ensure the improvement of learning outcomes and the increased completion rates in quality education of children in Sudan, with particular attention to groups living in vulnerable situations, especially girls, through the improvement of equitable access to quality primary/intermediary education. The programme is implemented by Save the Children, EF and SOFRECO. EF is responsible for the 2nd component, pre-service and in-service teacher training activities.

Result 3. Teacher qualification policy is strengthened through reinforced institutional capacity and emergence of research



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

Terms of reference:

  • Preparation of plan and sample of materials, and produce simple handouts/presentation for each session.
  • Liaison with the project team and the venue providers.
  • Ensure smooth logistical and administrative organization, before, during and after the event, with due consideration to diversity and sensitivity with high levels (ministers, ambassadors) participants.
  • Liaise with vendors, exhibitors, and stakeholders during the event planning process to ensure everything is in order.
  • Manage all event set-up, tear down, and follow-up processes.
  • Liaise with catering providers, entertainers, photographers, and schedule speakers.
  • Conduct final inspections on the day of the event to ensure everything adheres to the client’s standards.
  • Manage the venue in term of cleaning, electricity and water supply.

Deliverables:

  • Regular and timely reports describing the progression of the project activities.
  • Implementing Monitoring and evaluation tools as required.
  • Supporting the team in identifying and managing stakeholders relevant to the project deliverables.
  • Supporting field visits and different required operations for setting up visits and training sessions.  

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Highly proficient in Arabic and English (speaking & writing CEFR level A2-B1)
  • A degree in education, languages, management or any related field.
  • Practical knowledge of the local education field and its characteristics in the state.
  • Previous experience in coordination between different entities and facilitating communication and delivery of projects activities, preferably in teacher training. Experience in the state local context is desirable.
  • Reliable communication skills that enables the building and management of various stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable ability to produce detailed reports.
  • A good experience in event organising activities, either carrying the tasks individually or as a part of a team.
  • Ability to lead and support field missions and visits to the state, in addition to supporting the implementation of project activities (training sessions, observations etc…)
  • Ability to commit to deadlines, adapt to multicultural settings and managing risks.
