Desired Qualifications:
· Minimum Master’s degree (B.A. with significant relevant prior experience may be considered) in social science, political science, international affairs, development, or another relevant field.
· Minimum 6 years of experience in target thematic area of conflict, stability and security, education, gender, humanitarian aid, water, sanitation and hygiene, development, finance, mining, capacity-building, governance and economic reform.
· Minimum 6 years of experience working in the context of humanitarian aid or development.
· Strong qualitative and quantitative M&E skills.
· Experience working in Sudan or neighbouring countries.
· Experience in conducting research or data collection.
· Previous experience working with international donors is desirable, particularly UK FCDO.
· Ability to work independently and to consistently meet deadlines.
· Ability to work long hours when needed and to take on tasks that may be outside of the express terms of reference.
· Strong commitment to high quality work and integrity in all interactions.
· Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage appropriately with various audiences.
· Experience using statistical software such as SPSS or STATA.
· Experience using qualitative software such as NVivo.
· Excellent English language writing skills (evidence of written work).
