 Background:

The Program Officer (Grants & Reporting) is responsible for the administration follow up and upkeep of grants and reporting unit. S/he will support Grants and Reporting specialist to perform duties in terms of grants writing, translation, setting up and participation in the meetings, various researches, liaise with field offices on grants needs and reporting needs.

 

The Program Officer (Grants & Reporting) - grants might also be required to take notes during meetings, call and receive calls from various stakeholders, arrange meetings and follow up on area of the collaboration, researches, surveys, discussions with the stakeholders all this for the grants and reporting unit.

 



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Administration Functions

  • Support Grants and Reporting Specialist on day to day tasks
  • Conduct various internet but also field researches for the grants purpose as directed by the Grants and Reporting Specialist.
  • Setup stakeholder meetings for discussions or researches with external stakeholders
  • Setup meetings and participate with internal stakeholders on grants development
  • Follow up on any further documentation and/or explanation required by approvers and/or reviewers in regards to the grant approvals
  • Take notes during meetings and produce meeting minutes properly filled and filed.
  • Ensure data collection from field for grants development and reporting purposes
  • Liaise with the field offices on behalf of Grants and Reporting Specialist.
  • Liaise with local partners in relation to current and potential sub-awards

 

Other

  • Conduct herself/himself both professionally and personally in such a manner as to bring credit to MC Europe and not jeopardize its humanitarian mission.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

REPORTS DIRECTLY TO: Grants and Reporting Specialist

WORKS DIRECTLY WITH: All MC Sudan team members.

 


 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

  • One to two years of Administration management experience is required.
  • BA or equivalent in Administration or relevant field is preferred. 
  • Ability to communicate (verbally and in written) in both Arabic and English is a must
  • Ability to operate Microsoft office tools (WORD,EXCEL,POWERPOINT
