Environment Senior Executive

 Duties and responsibilities:

  • Participate in developing QHSE Business strategy for optimum utilization of resources and infrastructure for the company.
  • Implement EMS policies and procedures as per ISO 14001:2015.
  • Implement EMS training plan and programs.
  • Promoting EMS culture among employees, improve employee participation on EMS management.    
  • Implementing EMS improvement plans and programs.     
  • Monitor a Waste management register, reviewing Environmental Significant Impacts and escalating where appropriate.
  • Sort out all non-routine operation along the company processes.
  • Carry out suitable Impact assessment and define the required control measures.
  • Implement and monitor implementation of the control measure and carry out the required training.
  • Communicate the emergency plan all concerned parties understood, and effectively followed, conduct premises survey to ensure emergency plan suitable and carry out frequent emergency drill and amend the plan in necessary.
  • Coordinate with all concerned parties to implement the emergency plan effectively & efficiently.
  • Managing incidents and non-conformities by effective investigation and corrective action CA planning and monitoring the implementation of the CA. and Share incident alerts and reports. 
  • Supervise daily reviews of current work practices on all locations in order to ensure planned and agreed control measure in place.
  • Lead verification programs, which include periodic internal and external audits. 
  • Accountable to monitor EMS surveys either through contractor or internally.
  • Foreseeing document control, record keeping and change management in order to satisfy the requirement of Environmental Management System ISO 14001:2015.
  • Act as an objective source of guidance and advice within company to ensure developments and processes are with legal requirements and work towards achieving the company goal.
  • Provide leadership on various assigned tasks and ensure satisfactory outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain strong and positive working relationships with related departments to ensure their continued support to the overall processes and facilitate any obstacles that may interfere with the workflow.
  • Lead implementation and Improvement of company procedures so that all relevant procedural / legislative requirements fulfilled.

 


 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • BSc in environmental or science discipline from recognized university.
  • 5 to 6 years in Environmental Management including 2 to 3 years in supervisory level.
  • NEBOSH-EC or equivalent (IMEA Associate). 
  • Internal audit ISO 14001:2015. Preferred Lead auditor/Auditor ISO 14001:2015
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate all staff.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills:  face complex Group and business development challenges that span multiple departments and teams.
  • Communication skills: Must bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams and translate technical ideas in terms of business value.
  • Project management: Prioritize, plan and execute technical projects on time and on budget.
  • Adaptability: business environment changes constantly, need to be flexible to maintain and introduce functional approach that enables productivity.
  • Coaching ability to coach and mentor staff one-on-one basis and as a group.
