 Duties and responsibilities:

  • Trouble shooting and carrying out repairs on production lines with the aim of reducing factory downtime.
  • Carry out planned maintenance on plant equipment's like maker, packer, feeder m/c, DCU, vacuum pumps, compressors, generators.
  • Carry out a monthly audit on safety interlocks and carry out any necessary repair.
  • Support other departments (quality, production and spare parts) to increase product quality, decrease the waste percentage and decrease the spare parts consumption
  • Carry out preventive maintenance of Mechanical components and equipment to reduce cost of spares.
  • Carry out mechanical installations to according to BAT guidelines under supervision of the manager.
  • Coaching and supervising new mechanical technicians on industrial attachment and also operators on operations and safety.
  • Keep accurate records of daily quality detector checklists (SMD).
  • To ensure machine downtime logs are accurate and both periodic and preventive maintenance are well planned and coordinated.
  • To liaise with production clerks and shift managers to ensure production plan is achieved and brand changes are well coordinated.
  • Assist on the Factory improvement projects and machine installation.
  • Prepare daily/weekly report of the unit’s condition and service requirement.


 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

*Minimum Qualification:

  •   BSC Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  •   At least 2-4 years’ experience in the position. 

*Skills and Experience Required:

  •  Problem solving skill and supporting team work.
  •  Knowledge of MS Office.
  •  Proactive good organizational skills and ability to priorities tasks.  
  •   Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
