Background: Danish Refugee Council (DRC), one of the world’s leading humanitarian NGOs, is currently looking for a highly qualified Protection Officer for its operations in Sudan. DRC has been present in Sudan since 2004 working across 4 area offices covering both immediate humanitarian needs but also engages in longer term development activities. About the job: The Protection Officer CBP is responsible for managing and providing technical support to community-based protection activities, including the establishment and capacity building of Community Based Protection Networks, Protection Monitoring, awareness activities, support to local partner organizations, psycho-social Support (PSS) interventions. The Protection Officer CBP is expected to develop positive relationships with individual beneficiaries, community mobilizers and focal points and other stakeholders so as to ensure the efficiency of DRC’s outreach strategy and overall intervention. |
