 Background:

Background:

SUDO is an independent, secular, nongovernmental, non-partisan and non-profit making organization established in April 2001 and dedicated to the promotion and the protection of human rights, peacebuilding, support human basic services and development. SUDO works with vulnerable and needy individuals and communities at the grassroot level, irrespective of their social, ethnic, and religious backgrounds or political affiliation.

SUDO is registered as a national NGO with the Humanitarian Aid Commission of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and is regulated according to the Humanitarian Aid Commission Act since its establishment on April 21, 2001.  Since then, SUDO has grown to become one of the leading Sudanese NGOs, with a head office in Khartoum and 16 well established field offices in Khartoum, South, North, West, Central and East Darfur States and West, North and South Kordofan States, in addition to Blue Nile, White Nile, Kassala, Red Sea, Al-Gadaref, Northern and River Nile states.



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

  • Leading projects planning, implementation, monitoring & reporting
  • Coordinating staff and internal resources
  • Managing projects implementation progress and adapt work as required
  • Ensuring projects meet deadlines
  • Managing relationships with stakeholders
  • Represents SUDO at State level
  • Overseeing all incoming and outgoing projects documentation
  • Participating in tender process i.e. design, submission and review
  • Designing risk mitigation plan
  • Conducting project review and creating detailed reports per SUDO & donors’ requirements
  • Optimizing and improving processes and the overall approach where necessary
  • Measure project & staff performance to identify areas for improvement

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience:

  • A Bachelor/ Master degree in Management, Business or Business Administration, development studies, social studies or any relevant field with five years of experience in a similar role.

Skills:

Should possess high levels of the below skills to perform well in the role:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful.
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Capacity to manage high stress situations to go extra miles.
  • Proven pro-activeness, accountability, flexibility, commitment and honesty.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage various project elements simultaneously.
  • Leadership skills.
