Senior Financial Analyst

 Background:

Responsible for tracking the group's financial performance against a plan, analyzing business performance and market conditions to create forecasts, and helping senior management make tactical and strategic decisions by providing periodic reports.



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

  • Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models that help with decision-making.
  • Produce monthly reports, which include key metrics, financial results, and variance reporting.
  • Identifying trends in financial performance and providing recommendations for improvement
  • Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards.
  • Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for performance optimization.
  • Evaluating current capital expenditures and depreciation.
  • Support Business Development in exploring investment opportunities.
  • Develop financial models to support valuation, planning, and forecasting.
  • Plays an active role in establishing and evaluating annual plans & budgets.
  • Coordinating with other members of the finance team to review financial information and forecasts.

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; CFA /CPA/ACCA a plus.
  • Minimum 15 years’ working in a corporate finance/ accountancy capacity.
  • Expert-level analytical and financial modelling skills.
  • Good business acumen.
  • Highly proficient in Ms Excel, Ms Office, Ms Outlook and use of ERP and financial softwares.
  • Ability to multitask and meet constant deadlines
  • Attention to accuracy and detail required.
  • Strong presentation skills and report writing skills.
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work and effectively communicate with senior-level business partners.
  • Willingness to work long hours, when necessary
