Background: Danish Refugee Council (DRC), one of the world’s leading humanitarian NGOs, is currently looking for a highly qualified Protection Information Management (PIM) Officer for its operations in Sudan. DRC has been present in Sudan since 2004 working across 4 area offices covering both immediate humanitarian needs but also engages in longer term development activities. About the job Under the direct supervision of the Protection Manager, the Protection Information Management (PIM) Officer – South Kordofan is responsible to provide technical support to the implementation of projects aiming at protecting and promoting the safety, rights and agency of affected populations. To this end, the PIM Officer – South Kordofan will act as the focal point for programme data management with tasks including, but not limited to, coding of assessment tools, debugging mobile data collection forms, cleaning, aggregating and compiling the dataset(s) relevant to reporting and other outputs, and providing informed technical guidance to programme teams. The PIM Officer will serve as the South Kordofan focal point for the ongoing development, use, acceptance and support of a programme performance data management platform. The PIM Officer will have further agency to develop and implement solutions to improve data collection and management across the South Kordofan operations. |
