 Background:

Contract specialist initiates procurement actions for contracted spend, manage tenders, act as secretary of tender committees besides preparing the bidding documents and contract forms. Contract cycles shall be well managed including all administrative issues, coaching users and contract managers on how to follow up and measure the performance of different contract. Candidate shall be knowledgeable in contract law, contractual clauses, dispute management, negotiation and relationship management.

 



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

  • Communicate with different business unit for the expected contracted spend as early as possible
  • Source and qualify service contractors related to Rida group business.
  • Develop procurement plan for contract spend.
  • Ensure budgets are approved for contracts.
  • Initiate and follow up the procurement actions for contracted spend.
  • Act as a secretary for tender committees.
  • Draft contracts documents and clauses.
  • Negotiate with contractors.
  • Coach requesters and contract managers on the effective contract management.
  • Follow up to get the right approval in all procurement and contracting stage.
  • Keep contracts tracking reports.
  • Keep contract records.
  • Hold contract review meetings.
  • Verify claims and order changes.
  • Verify invoices and payment requests.
  • Insure guarantees and warrantees in place.
  • Manage dispute and relationship.
  • Keep templates of contract management.
  • Execute all contract administration activities.
  • Insure ending or renewing contracts on time.
  • Manage contract termination requests.
  • Keep contract logs and updated status.

 


 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor degree in a relevant filed
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement including minimum 5 years of experience in contracting.
  • Advanced training and international certificates can be merit
  • Fluency in English Language
  • Good knowledge of commercial contracts and contract law
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Advanced excel skills
