Sunrise Training and Research Centre (STRC) was established in 2015 and registered under the companies Act of 1931 (Reg. No BN 3917). STRC is an institution committed to providing services related to development training, social research and consultancy. Our expertise includes socio-economic and development research, training and consultancies on Project Management, Humanitarian and Disaster Response, Enterprise Development, Governance, Organizational Development, Personal Productivity and Environmental Sustainability.

 Background:

Every now and then STRC is contacted by the humanitarian community and private sector to provide short term research, training and capacity building services in Darfur and all across Sudan. In order to meet the expectations of our clients, STRC is calling for qualified candidates with training skills both in English and Arabic to engage (on-call) with the Centre. If selected, the trainer will be added to a roster of trainers and will be immediately contacted and contracted when need be. STRC will cover transportation and accommodation of the contracted trainer whenever needed.

 

Job Summary:

STRC is looking to qualified trainers on the following areas of expertise:

  • Protection
  • Health and Nutrition
  • FSL
  • WASH
  • Peace Building
  • Emergency Preparedness and Response


 
 Duties and responsibilities:

  • Working with STRC Course Coordinator to develop the training curriculum including main training manual and PowerPoint presentation
  • Facilitate the full training session including planning and executing of practical sessions
  • Reflect the values of STRC and build on trainers’ existing knowledge
  • Plan and implement a training pre- and post-test to measure trainees’ knowledge before and after the training session
  • Draft the end of training report
  • Perform other tasks, as agreed mutually between the Centre and the trainer.

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree. PhD is preferred.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a position with similar responsibilities, preferably with an International NGO, academic institution, UN agency, or reputable company.
  • Knowledge in one or more of the required topics.
  • Proficiency in English and Arabic Languages
  • Some training experience is a must
